It is disappointing that after reporting the item as a fake, EBay didn’t contact me or take any action whatsoever…

People don’t notice these are fake… please don’t buy them. I have reported the item, but seemingly EBay don’t give a monkeypox about it

You have (probably) made the assumption that people are as clued-up as you are regarding wheels. ;)

    Naughty naughty Ugo, naughty naughty......

Some people just don't know because of many reasons.

You could say that people can only follow the advice given to them by those purporting to be in the know: after all, Yossie has just reminded me about some bloke who on here used to churn out Achetypes and H Plus Sons to all and sundry marketed as the panacea to all evils and the only wheelset you'll ever need and and and....

He can't remember who it was though but he sincerely hopes the purchasers weren't gullible....

And not a single one ever complained or was unhappy about the product, I still get emails from folks asking me if I can build them another pair... so much so that even the said churner is still using said wheels and questions whether an 80mm rim upgrade is actually worth bothering...

And somay well the purhaser of those "FFWDs"

Who knows. Not you or I, that is for sure.

Perhaps they knew exactly what they are buying. Perhaps they only want them for communting. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps......

    But gullible? Big jump....

Someone with 254 previous transactions on Ebay... quite gullible yes, I normally do my research before buying something on Ebay and if it doesn't look right, I steer clear... all those allegedly "resprayed" Cannondale Supersix frames and such... you have to be a bit savvy... I suppose.
These were clearly fake, even the untrained eye could see they are not the genuine thing...

Tried the overshoes from a club mate last night and PBd... :) in fairness it was a good night for testing. One of the zip came down half way through though...

Deep wheels + overshoes for even more aero efficiency!

By the way, Spatz make the shoe covers without zips....

Yeah, I'll take his... they are basically new, just need to work out how to avoid them unzipping

Bit of velcro stitched across the top so you can open velcro, zip up, close velcro zip doesn't come down?

Yeah, I'd rather do some simpler though, maybe I can add an elastic band or I can fold the very top inside
I have asked Rule 28 if there is a trick, let's see what they say

Tbh, hair bobble over the top of the 'shoe under the zip each time you put them on.

Takes 2 seconds, no one will notice, no stitiching or owt required.

    Ain't stupid if it works.

They replied very quickly saying that if the zip is pointing down it cannot come loose, which is true as I have just tried... must have been user error.

Sounds like the zips on my Sorpasso bibtights; they do the same only the other way up.
