Colnago Master, Dura Ace 9100, Edco Umbrial, Vittoria, Deda, 56cm, Saronni Red

Colnago Master 56cm with Dura Ace 9100. I bought this frame new old stock and built it up over the winter.

It was my plan to use this for my Sunday social rides, but it isn't happening somehow, so I'm putting it up for sale.

When I bought the frame, it had a 4 or 5 paint chips from storage, that I've touched in, you can see a picture where I have detailed where this has been done.

The wheels are Edco Umbrial full carbon clincher, pretty much new wheels.

Tyres are Vittoria Corsa 25c.

The groupset is full Dura Ace 9100 with 172.5 52/36 crankset. Excluding the cassette which is Ultegra (11-28).

This was taken from another bike, but hardly used, covered very low mileage. the bottom bracket is brand new Dura Ace, as it's Italian threaded.

Bar, stem and seatpost are all brand new Deda Zero 2, so they match very nicely.

Saddle is Fizik Antares, a Personal favorite of mine, but it can be swapped out for a white flite if preferred.

Garmin mount and pedals are not included, but the bottle cages can be left on, as they fit so well with the frame.

£2800, Collected from Fleckney in Leicestershire.

That's one of the most stunning bikes I've ever seen. Wow. I'm sure you won't struggle to sell this.

How is it still for sale?

Ypu might need to offer to drive and meet, within reason.

Sadly I'm not in the market.

It hasn't got disc brakes, and the price isn't stupid.

So if you put it on ebay there won't be a frantic bidding war by stupid people who will ride it a few sundays, put it on a smart trainer and then go back to golf.

    Yup.

Not made of plastic, not sold in a lifestyle shop, not electronic, no disc brakes.

    Who'd a want it?

Its utterly beautiful and perfect if 2cm too small for one of the MFs.

If that Focus on here goes before this its a crime.

yeah, great bike... wheels alone are over a grand... I guess not many people around with disposable income these days...
I see it everywhere in cycling, participation to TT open races has plummeted since last year, clearly petrol price having a big impact on people's confidence

I haven't got a smart trainer or play golf, but if that thing was mine I would only ride it on sunny days and keep it in my living room to please my eyes. If I haven't just spent a similar amount on a new cyclocross bike I would buy it without a second thought. And I am into plastic frames, Di2 and disc brakes and frequently shop bicycle stuff on Ebay.

I know nothing about Colnagos and their geometry. Instinct tells me it's too big for me but roughly what size rider would this fit?

Element of that but 80% of it will be pepple believing the hype and thinking that they neeeeeeeeeed a pastic frame and disc brakes and electronic gearing and wide section wheels and and and and unless they have them they going to get dropped from the club and die and not realising this thing is utterly lovely with a brilliant groupset and is all the bike they'll ever need.

It is a horizontal top tube. I am 5'10" and ride a Master in 54cm.
I'd guess 6'0"-6'2" for a Master in 56cm unless you like a really short stem.

    Dimensions here - https://colnago.cz/gb/26-master
    Edited for model clarity.

Nonsense. I've had mine for 14 years and it was even used throughout the winter for the first 3 years. They are made to be ridden. Ernesto himself says so.

    I'm 5 10 and I used to ride a 56. Now more like 55.

So might be okay, just about. Long stem on it though at the moment.

Oh good grief - if thats an option do it.

You would be mad to sell it if you didn't really have and you'll just regret it.

Keep it, ride it, have a mega laugh at the clubbies on theirshit plastic stuff.

It's a bit heavy and a bit bendy, but it has chrome lugs and, a straight bladed chrome fork, and metallic cherry red paint. When you are riding people will look at it and tell you it's nice. They will do so now and also in 20 years' time.

People don't do that if you are riding a Trek costing £10k. They just say, oh, its an expensive Trek. Like that other one over there that's just the same.

OP - if I manage to sell my bike, I will snap this up if its still around. I'm finding it difficult to express how desirable this bike is.

    Seriously mec, don't sell it.

If you have to sell anything, sell the groupset and fit Record or SR.

    Its lush.
