    if it is, be careful as further failure could cause a lot of heat or even fire, just leave it to discharge

    Cracks are at the top corner, where the flash/camera are on the back so would expect the battery to be near the bottom/middle?

    It's had a hard life though this little phone, so not too peed off about it breaking.

    yeah, the corner seems unlikely to be battery related

    when one of mine went, the glass on both sides of the phone developed a curve and the edges were separating - happened after using it a fair bit in 45+ weather :smiley:

    Early series Apple Watches had the screen separation from the case due to battery expansion issue.
