    The kids have woken us up, they have been awake all night playing online games, poker and been in the hot tub, they are 14 & 17 ffs, why aren’t they regretting the shots they drank like me?

    Run with the hounds soon, probably a ride and lots of family snizzle. Have a good one everyone

    Merry Christmas All. Was feeling OK yesterday and now feel shite, will be taking the test hoping its just a cold. Rest of the household is still snoring 😴. Was going to do local christmas day parkrun but I won't be risking it.

    It's a bit chilly with a chilly wind and if I went outside naked, i'd have a chilly willy in no time.

    Roast beast with Yorkshire pudding later. I will be chief cook and bottle washer.

    @tlw1 : You have passed on the gene's. The next generation has evolved a tiny increment. That tiny increment is going to put them in the super league. Their children will suffer no ill effects of alcohol. In fact, it won't even touch them. They will be running up and down K2 for giggles on IPA, doing the TdF on cider and swimming the channel for a quick crate of Stella and a blast across the cobbles to Roubaix if they fancy it.

    Oxo, daughter had a similar post booster train of symptoms, test, negative so looks like just the body's immune system doin' it's thang.

    A #2 100% pure Colombian, a little smoked salmon nibbling, good fuel 🤔, and out for a pootle soon. Grey and damp, but not actually mizzling. Yet.

    Good news Oxo B) . We found out last night that one of the in laws tested positive yesterday so they probably won't be visiting us on the 27th. Merry bloody Christmas >:)

    Not been up too long, getting through a big mug of tea and a couple of crumpets (toasted variety, sadly) and will be taking the hounds out for their Christmas walk before we get into the Turkey cooking. Was going to be duck for a change but the supplier went bust last week, hey ho. Wine, fizzy wine and tramp fuel are chilling and the Lagavulin is there for later :)

    no such thing as too early, it's the perfect tipple at any time

    after a gopping ride with only one cafe stop, i have now made ginger fizz as a restorative and precaution against a chill, a warm glow develops from the very first sip

    I like the sound of this.
    Used to do a cocktail which was a large balloon glass with some cracked/crushed ice, shot and a bit of Drambuie, equal dashes orange and lemon juice, then fill with champagne.

    Quite refreshing.

    Merry Christmas folks, hope you're all having a good day. We've had a change of plans and younger sister and husband are coming here for lunch, hopefully be able to go to the old dear's tomorrow for the traditional Christmas. I'm slacking somewhat and haven't started the booze yet, sampled some new coffee though.
    Glad you're clear Oxo, hope you feel better soon. Did one of the MFs break his arm? That's dull.
