Day of actual meetings which I am now attending via teams 🙄0

The girls have gone up to Liverpool to take some stuff up to Stropteens student digs and get it shipshape apparently. Dogs are getting getting farmed out to the walkers/sitters for the day so I can get stuff done."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." Parents yesterday, check out my dads shed (after tidying) pics don’t do justice to the majesty of c.rap accumulated.

That's wonderful (in it's own, unique way). I sorted a shed like that. It only took 3 weeks.
Bit cool and dull here. Will the sun break through?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

In the almost indistinguishable words of Rhianna, workworkworkworkworkwork.
I think the UK must have the most boring weather on the planet, its about as exciting as watching a diamond being formed.
Might do some DIY later, might sort my Garmin out. Who knows...Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
Just heard the sellers accepted our offer on the house we saw on Tuesday. Didn't expect that as we thought there'd be a bidding war but looks like we had the edge because we've already got a buyer lined up and ready to exchange. Maybe the MFs had a word on the way to alsager

I'm sure they were very polite but just threatening enough to make them accept. They could have asked for a bigger discount though, this is going to hurt...tlw1 said:

Better luck this time round @Stevo_666 !
Another week of medical taxi duty, Monday and Wednesday for OH to 2 different specialists, Tuesday to GP and tomorrow to Physio for me, and today was Mum to a doctor. That makes just on 500km of driving around just for the privilege of handing over wads of money to people. Other Half managed to get himself scammed online and resulted in a locked credit card or two, so I'm funding his stuff as well this week..
Still trying to decide on a new (ok, used but... ) car. My financial advisor was surprisingly supportive of such frivolous expenditure, tells me I should go ahead. Might wait till I actually get my motorcycle back and can sell it to have some extra spare cash. Might not.
Booked in for a Needle In The Neck Experience next week.

I might have to ease off the hookers and blow a bit.homers_double said:You high flying city types can afford it.

Thanks WS - second time lucky hopefully; this lot seem motivated to get it done ASAP as they had a buyer oull out on them shortly before our seller pulled the plug on us and they are completing on somewhere end of October. As opposed to the flakey heel draggers we had to deal with first time round.Wheelspinner said:Better luck this time round @Stevo_666 !

Where are the photos so we can critique the purchase?Stevo_666 said:

Exactly. Then we need to get wheelspinner on the case, he has an eye for details.elbowloh said:

Might have to be a bit more careful about this one as it's still advertised on the Interweb. Strifey took some pics so I'll see if she has any decent ones.elbowloh said:

Evening folks,
Busy day of wfw, much stupid to deal with as usual. Almost had a Basil Fawlty moment due to complete exasperation. Managed to bite my tongue whilst counting to 10. Nice wobble home, there was a bright light and the sky was a strange blue colour.
Good news about the house Stevo, hope it works out.0 -
Its the nosey gits I'm bothered about.
Here's a few pics - apparently the wife has a wedding event business and she keeps all the gear in her house which is why it looks a bit like a bloody fairy grotto. That will all go, but the potential deal breaker is that ferkin sign in the bathroom
I reckon my sig has never been more relevant

All that clutter will be gone and when it's empty before you move in (hopefully), we'll get a better set of pics?
Plenty pf room for 2 people to knock around in it. So much, you could avoid each other for weeks

NW Kent
I might just be able to pedal in if I can get a lift up the bloody North Downs ridge."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Probably well trodden routes so you'll be able to get a mobility scooter up there.
I'm pretty sure you could fit a bike rack to this:

Actually, cleared out of all that shoite hanging off every available inch it looks like it could be ok. Except the light fittings, which are just criminally awful.
Do people really have weddings styled in such bad taste as that? Anyone with sofas like those red and purple jobbies can’t be taken seriously.
Some oddities: what’s the shizzle behind that hideous bed? Looks like a plastic sheet covered window and a blocked off what?? And are the floors genuine timber or laminate? There’s herringbone parquetry at the base of the stairs, and straight boards elsewhere. Seems a funny mix. Speaking of stairs, those look very narrow treads and quite steep as a result? Safe for you oldies? 😀
Fix the lights, and get someone not colour blind to sort that mushroom-poo coloured bathroom and ice blue dining space.
