So, there's no real change of direction until after the Pic St Loup.
We have ourselves a worst case scenario wind direction.
    Meh.

    They've got 10 "

If that's the break DQS will be delighted

DQS let that go at the perfect time. Absolutely no way anyone was getting through once they blocked the front on those roads.

Trek also getting a roasting from the team car.

Maybe reading too much into it, but if Cavendish makes a big fuss yesterday about not getting a skinsuit, and reminds everyone that he wears a skinsuit for stages where he expects to sprint, and then today rocks up without a skinsuit, is that possibly an attempt to convince other sprint teams that it's safe to work because he doesn't really fancy it?

Let's hope Stuyven has his sprinting legs on ha

Skinsuit watch: Cav not wearing it today. Draw what conclusions you will

My conclusion is that what Wiggins reported yesterday about ASO not providing him with one for yesterday's stage is BS as presumably if that was the case he'd have had one of the other ones on standby today.

Struggling to see why Wiggins would make something like that up, it is possible he was given duff information of course, but it sounds like that would have come from DQS if that is the case.

Similar thinking is why I floated the disinformation idea, though I don't genuinely believe that's what's going on. Seen dafter games played in the peloton to try and get an advantage though.

Yeah, I meant more that he heard it as a bit of a rumour and made more out of it than there really was.

Got ya, yes I realised that latterly - apologies!

Seems like they are saying they would only ever be given 2 skinsuits anyway, so a bit of a mystery.

The blue front tyre looks really weird and wrong, that would do my head in.

There is nothing on the bike or kit it remotely ties in with.

Those Cervelos are ugly enough to start with, the blue tyre makes them even worse.

Who’s on ES today? - or should I head over to Ned & Dave?
  • blazing_saddlesblazing_saddles Posts: 18,215
To think we were all worried about week 1 being boring.
This is more like watching a 5 hours holiday programme than a bike race.
Siesta unless the klaxon is sounded, I think.

This is a perfect stage to be on hold to the Dutch public health authorities because they've effed up your Covid vaccine records rendering you physcially fully vaccinated but digitally unvaccinated.

They are alternating, currently ck & lloyd, which means, I hope that Hatch will be closing things out.
    PLEASE.

ck earlier on commentary, talking about the first time he met Greipel - Greipel's first words once he knew who he was were "ahhh, you're the one who screams a lot"
