    I'm watching with no sound on and I haven't got a clue. Other than Thomas and Roglic having an absolute mare.

    Climbing doesn't really start for 10km. This is brutal again. Tomorrow is going to be another really tough day.

    Anyone know what the cut off time is today? The Gee/Cav group is already ~12mins down and they've yet to start the first of three cat1 climbs.

    TdF 2021 rules and regs
    Coefficient 4
    Very difficult stages. The time limit is calculated according to the actual time recorded by the winner plus:
    7% if the average speed is less than or equal to 30km/h;
    8% between 30km/h and 31km/h;
    9% between 31km/h and 32km/h;
    10% between 32km/h and 33km/h;
    11% between 33km/h and 34km/h;
    12% between 34km/h and 35km/h;
    13% between 35km/h and 36km/h;
    14% between 36km/h and 37km/h;
    15% between 37km/h and 38km/h;
    16% between 38km/h and 39km/h;
    17% between 39km/h & 40km/h
    18% over 40km/h.

    Must be the first Tour in years where no team has been in control on the first mountain stage, no? Never seen the likes since I started watching Tour stages in 2009.

    Poels regretting his move I suspect.

    Ok we’re into the first of three first cats at 52km to go. Roglic, Thomas in the bus, Latour all miles behind.

    Reduced peloton of favourites at 3;53 from the break which is the 18 tailwind posted but includes Yates, casteljivo, Valverde, Quitnana, Poels, Jul Jensen, etc
