    An ACME pick axe handle?
Don't - you end up on the receiving end of them - i've seen it.
And don't get one of those road stop thingies and don't try the dynamite pills and don't saw off the end of a cliff and don't buy the ACME rocket sledge kit.
Don't run into a tunnel entrance that you have painted onto a mountainside either, roadrunner can run through it, you can't and will get a big comedy bump on your head.

Road runner = best cartoon evah.

    Tom & Jerry = second.
Ulesses 31 and G-Force Battle of the Planets are tied for first.

Lad's just stopped by on his way back up to Brum, had some food, grabbed a change of clothes and gone. Had to laugh when he told us they have hired a couple of sex pools for a few days. Well, to be fair he described them as hot tubs. But we all know the truth. I laughed but didn't say anything. I do hope they are thoroughly disinfected between punters.

    What have I started?!

Soz Elbow/Hoppy - they're all modern animation carp.

No artistry, little creativity, implausible dialogues, terrible animation.
I s'pose some eejit will mention Battlestar Gallactica.
Rhubarb and Custard are better than all of that.

Bit late to the thread today as loads on - really sorry to hear that Spinner, but as mentioned up thread, cautiously positive from a surgeon is a good thing. Hope the caught it early and it all gets sorted.

Oh yes, Fred Quimby. I remember the name. And sort of recall experiencing a non Quimby version of T&J (🤔) and thinking it was shite.

Wiki says he died in 1965.

Wonder why original Tom & Jerry's don't get televisualised now. Or do they? With Mammy Two Shoes present of course.

The silly barstewards think the depiction of the black woman is stereotyping.

Yet, she's the boss of the house and in one episode goes off playing cards and listening to jazz.
I don't know what the problem is.

Same with a lot of older classic kids tv shows - clangers, dangermouse etc.
Maybe kids demand CGI these days and nothing less will do.
Tom and Jerry (mostly) has no dialogue so that may seem odd to some people these days, but like a lot of stuff from that era it didn't need it because the music told the story.

The animation told the story and if you think about it, that made it multi lingual.
