Is that the new type router?
I re signed up to Sky earlier this year and they sent me the new type.
Night and day. With the old one, I bridged an old Talk Talk router I got for a fiver and connected to that, in order to get a good signal. Tbh the problem with the old one seemed to be worse over the 2.4 ghz frequency.0 -
No idea. I asked for a replacement and they sent exactly the same (looking) unit. Been with them for a fair while, it’s always been temperamental0

I bought TP link (M4). I already used their extenders before and they were fine, but not quite what was needed.johngti said:
What brand? I’m tempted to do similar. The sky router is rubbishelbowloh said:

In other news, I installed a WiFi mesh system this afternoon and it's ace. Getting 70mbps all round the house, 30mps in the garden even, was lucky to get 3-5 in the garden previously.
These were pretty cheap compared to a lot of the alternatives.0 -

Well, I suppose I make exceptions for women.0 -
I've just switched to Now (aka cheap sky) and mine looks like that.ballysmate said:

I heard now customers get the leftovers from sky but maybe not.
Wi-Fi is pretty decent on mine and reaches the garden which is important for WFH.0 -
Yeah, I was on Now TV previously, they used to use the older design of kit when Sky moved to a new model. It was fine at the old place, but when we moved the signal was terrible (the copper line), so would have been bad whoever we went with unless we moved to fibre.thistle_ said:
