Well, that was quite a stage. Heavyweight riders on the attack, putting it all on the line. In the end, the simple pick was the correct one for PTP points.

m.r.m now holds the virtual Maglia Azzurra but only by a single point from ocdupalais and singleton. A bad day for those of us who put our faith in a rejuvenated Egan Bernal.
Stage 5 takes us 205km from Castellalto to Castelfidardo, which is the official birthplace of the accordion. I can't wait to hear Mr Kirby's comments already. Anyway, the first 100km is coastal so I expect the organisers were thinking about the potential for crosswinds, there is then a 23km circuit that the peloton will complete 4 times. It looks up and down the whole time so should be another entertaining day of racing.0 -

A superb stage today. Brilliant attack from MVDP and he just about held off Pog who will surely claim the GC. WVA limited his losses to maintain his impressive GC position. Alaphillipe nowhere to be seen unfortunately for those that selected him today.

m.r.m has an extended lead from TheBigBean with Dorset-Boy in third.
Tomorrow sees the penultimate stage of this year's race beginning in Castelraimondo and running for 169km before finishing in Lido di Fermo. After several days of pretty frantic racing, will it be a more traditional break v sprint stage?0 -
