Welcome to the PTP thread for the 56th edition of Tirreno Adriatico.
The race for the Maglia Azzurra begins once again with a stage that starts and ends in Lido di Camaiore. So we can expect plenty of helicopter shots of the beach and the Ligurian Sea. We then have a total of 7 stages ending with a 10.1km ITT in San Benedetto del Tronto.
If you would like to take a look at the stages in more detail and whet your appetite with some information about the local gastronomy then you can read the official website here: https://www.tirrenoadriatico.it/en/
The current startlist can be found here: https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/tirreno-adriatico/2021/stage-7/startlist
It looks pretty impressive right now - Ineos very strong, Pogacar, S Yates, Fuglsang, Landa, Pinot, Nibali, Bardet and Quintana. Then we have MVDP, WVA, GVA, Sagan, Alaphillipe, Ewan and Gaviria. Should be a competitive week of racing.
Here is a list of recent winners:
2020 YATES Simon
2019 ROGLIČ Primož
2018 KWIATKOWSKI Michał
2017 QUINTANA Nairo
2016 VAN AVERMAET Greg
2015 QUINTANA Nairo
2014 CONTADOR Alberto
2013 NIBALI Vincenzo
2012 NIBALI Vincenzo
2011 EVANS Cadel
Good luck, usual PTP rules apply. I'll try to update the scores every night of the race.

Nobody predicted that Wout Van Aert would take today's opening sprint stage, however plenty of PTP players picked up second courtesy of Caleb Ewan.
Here are the scores after stage 1:

Stage 2 is a 202KM journey beginning in Camaiore and finishing in Chiusdino. The profile suggests that the finish will be much more selective that today's wide/flat run-in.0 -
So WvA or MvDP then?gregster04 said:Nobody predicted that Wout Van Aert would take today's opening sprint stage, however plenty of PTP players picked up second courtesy of Caleb Ewan.
