I agree with you on the weather but if you are selling a bike on eBay it is well worth adding postage as an option. There are specialist companies that do everything from dropping off a box and picking it up with bike all fully insured for about £50 all in (i.e. very low effort on your behalf) or you can do as I did and pick up a box from a bike shop and use DPD to collect from your house for about £20.mr_eddy said:Also bear in mind selling bikes on eBay requires someone to collect after purchase and during lockdown people are probably not going to drive out the way to get a bike (as they could be fined - Its not exactly a essential trip).
I have 2 bikes to sell but I am going to wait til spring as by then travel restrictions should have eased (increasing your target audience) and the weather is likely to more buyers - In the same way you get more money for a convertible car in spring/summer.
If you are doing collection, it seriously limits your potentially audience, which will likely mean price if you are selling by auction. It is also a faff waiting in / organising a pick up etc. especially if the buyer is coming from some distance. DPD will pick up from your house at a specific time (others do the same) which I found far easier.0 -
HMRC valuing something for tax purposes is not the same as resale value. As well you know.david37 said:

Annex C: Valuing cycles at the scheme end (page twenty three)The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0
