Yep sounds like bad setup to me

UPDATE. 17k and I'm in agony, new saddle ordered.

Managed the full 20k but about halfway through my hands went tingly

That's might be more to do with possibly:
    Not wearing mitts,
Needing better strength so you're not putting too much weight on your hands,
Your bike set up being wrong,
    Needing thicker bar tape.
Not wearing mitts, what strength would I be lacking? Core? Maybe the bike set up/turbo position.
  • Tingling hands sounds like poor fit on the bike, have you double checked saddle for and aft position as well as height?

I normally use Castelli Rosso corsa tights and 3/4 but picked myself up some bargain thin shorts for the turbo.

Whenever I'm out I never get a sore bum area but since I've been zwifting I can only ride about 12km then my 'area' becomes unbearably sore, its not sore like a saddle sore but more of a pressure sore like there's not enough padding if that makes sense? Feels bruised rather than chafing.

Could it be the shorts or do I need to sort my saddle again 🤔

    Thanks

    Hi dsorby,
I have experienced this problem when I’ve done a lot of work on the turbo. I used to use my oldest bibshorts, on the turbo but now use several pairs of fairly decent ones and swap them around as I find the turbo is definitely harder on the bum than out on the ride. I’m a big believer in chamois cream too. Don’t use loads, but again use about four different ones to ‘mix it up ‘ too. Doing both these things has helped!
  • A rocker plate could help, it makes the ride feel a bit more natural. Worked for me anyhow.

Wiggle have a ‘cheap’ one but pretty sure they are out of stock now. In a couple months you may be able to get one in the sale as I did
  • I've bought some castelli competizione shorts and brought my stem up a spacer and managed 30k with just a little bit of toe numbness, moved cleats back slightly hopefully feet will be abit better tomorrow. Other than that I think I'm nearly sorted
