Oof Alaphilippe is gonna have to cary that team isn't he?

Him and Demare are the only proper winners on that team.

You mean the joke one that I think they would choose, where there's no lead out for demare? Or the one I'd pick myself where there's no pinot?

My pick for a France team would be

    Alaphillippe
    whoever Alaphillippe wants
    Martin
    Demare
    whoever Demare wants
    whoever Demare wants
    whoever Demare wants
    whoever Demare wants

Which is one more winner than that mostly, past their sell by date, Dutch team you selected.

    Fair fair.

I think Tom has the potential to be a winner still.
  • Colombia..... do you take Gaviria? He'd have to look after himself - not sure Higuita is much cop in a lead-out.

    I'd take him and Hodeg.

Where's @joelsim where you need him. He'd only be taking anyone that could pull a lead-out.

    Egan Bernal
    Miguel Ángel López
    Rigoberto Urán
    Daniel Felipe Martínez
    Sergio Higuita
    Esteban Chaves
    Fernando Gaviria
    Álvaro José Hodeg

Carlos Betancur (to hand out the feed bags)

reckon Lopez isn't an easy teammate. Can see him and Bernal clashing.
  • Spain:

    Mas
    Valverde
    Landa
    Soler
    Jesus Herrada
    Ion Izaguirre
    JJ Rojas
    LL Sanchez

Guaranteed to be shafting each other on the road, and have long, sociable dinners in the evening.
    Won't trouble the points comp.
    Will win the team comp

Soler will either come top 10 or totally lose his scheet on the cobbled stage.
Team TT will see 4 of them come in together (Valverde, Rojas, LLS & Herrada), Landa and Soler will be a minute behind with both refusing to pull. Mas will have a mechanical 3km in and be left behind.
