Got a nice meal incoming this evening from a local chef who's doing private catering as we're in tier 3.
Had one in Lockdown1 which was excellent.
Will involve a rather nice wine we brought back from a local vineyard in Italy as well as some fizz.

    what ya havin'?
Hoisin duck in oriental steamed rolls, followed by seabass and gubbins and yet undisclosed dessert.

Wine will be a very nice Mazer, courtesy of Nino Negri up in the Valtellina Vally, North East of Lake Como.

Well, we're going to Prezzo at 17.30 for stupidly early dinner with our 19 month old and no alcohol as the wife is up the duff.
19th month old and up the duff?! You’re a machine 👍😎
    you're bloody mad, see.

Like the look of that wine HD. I very much like nebbiolo, especially when not in the form of £££ barolo or barbaresco. What fizz?

We're off out for a belated birthday dinner on Sunday evening - possible as London is "only" in tier 2.
are we going to start up the "what's for dinner H3?" thread again?

We think with all this food talk it needs to be done

Good to see @MattFalle back with his deep section carbon wheels, multiple personalities and setting fire to stuff before throwing it over the fence into nextdoor.

remember to smash it with a hammer first. The MFs always like a good hammer smashing apart from the time MF clonked his thumb and threw the hammer at MF in a fit of pique and rage resulting in a dust up the size of the fabled Balle of Carwaent

  • Fizz will just be Prosecco I'm afraid due to me not really liking Champers that much.

Also have a Chablis premier cru in the chiller and if I'm not to wobbly, a cheaper sauvignon blanc for later. Not much point opening anything decent after that lot :#

Exactly, once you've had a couple of decent sized glasses of something nice, may as well move onto the cheap stuff as you won't really notice the difference.

I once selflessly turned down an eye wateringly expensive bottle of wine at a dinner paid for by advisors back in the late 90's on the basis that I was already a few sheets to the wind and wouldn't appreciate the good stuff. What a mug...

    Mec,

if you've seenMF on a bike recently you'd realise what slow is..... 2hrs a week ain't gonna cut it in Llandy.

Don't get MF wrong, MF is still faster than any clubbie but he needs to regain that tyre shredding power of his.

Put some bricks in your backpockets, fill your tyres with water, wear ankle weights, add a heavy helmet filled with lead, eat Edwyn's finest chips with curry sauce, wrap your testicles in 532 rubber bands, bolt a flame thrower to the handlbars* (the reason for this will come clear), replace the seat pin with a spike and get right at it.
    3am start.
...and when you've circumnavigated Alsager 100 times let me know and i'll schedule phase #2.

God this sounds familiar except 23 not 19. Also I usually make sure I drink enough for both of us.

Maybe dinner next week, if anywhere isn't fully booked.

Alsager? Funk that. Even LL Cool J wouldn't go near Alsager. The rest sounds plausible enough.

Snoop Dog once went and said never again - far too, well, shitty he said. Not dangerous, not at all ghetto, just really shitty.

    Evening folks,
Busy day of training, Teams meetings, wfh, wfw and taking paperwork to the beautiful assistant. No lab coats involved. Looks like it's been even busier in here. Need to get garrrrrry and HM the tree shouterer back as well.
Traditional Thursday morning hangover was very much in evidence. Not very traditional of late though, but at the pub with mates last night which was fun.
