Looking like a big mistake bringing Carapaz in place of Thomas right now.

Yeah, don't get how Carapaz ended up in no man's land.

    Edit needed a wheel apparently.

32 seconds for Carapaz after a puncture.

Apologies to Carapaz. It was a mechanical apparently.

This is the reason I was surprised at his omission. If you take him as a domestique he offers you more support in a full range of situations. That said, look like Carapaz had a mechanical and no-one is getting back if that happens now.

Just going to post the same thing and said it at the time.

I hadn't realised Catroviejo was still in the front group. Not much support for Bernal now but then I suppose having two just behind would be a help if anything did happen.

soon we'll see Bernal driving it on the front :)

Sending someone back for Carapaz is daft, he's not going to get back to the front group - should have just waited for group 2

@rick_chasey thinks he is a shoe in for the win today.

I thought that at first but it could be the difference between a podium or not if he saves 30 seconds and it's not really harming Bernal.
  • I really hope Sagan scores well today after all the work Bora did

If he sprints he wins is my guess ..

I reckon it's his - would be gutting for Bora although I'm not sure the stage was their original aim.

  • Ominously, the Green jersey is now 11 minutes back, so where is the Ewan group?

How are we sitting for the cut off?
Looks like the organisers may have a tough decision to make, or are there too many?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Only a minute or so behind them according to the Tour tracker.
