A pretty disastrous day for Fuglsang backers be it for the stage or the GC, and DeadCalm is beginning to exert some pressure on the rest of our Peloton. takethehighroad and niknak1 complete the current top 3.
I've been surprised how steep some of the climbs have been so far in comparison to the profiles we've seen so can imagine it being a very difficult day today.
Apologies for the later than usual update. Frantic day yesterday and only just managed to catch up on yesterday's stage
Yeah I mean I now feel bad about how I literally waited till after the Dauphine to do the scoring... don't worry about it, you're doing much better than me!
Great stage today. Woods cracked, Fuglsang didn't keep up with the front group, a little attack from the Shark and a heavyweight performance from Yates.
Nobody picked today's winner but plenty had Ackermann who managed second place despite completely losing his team and sprinting from miles back, Gaviria briefly hit the front but disappointed again.
niknak1 has the lead from dish_dash with takethehighroad and DeadCalm in joint third.
Don't forget we have two stages left. Tomorrow isn't the usual race-ending TT. Actually, most of the stage looks like a race around a circuit with several small climbs.

takethehighroad and niknak1 are the new joint-leaders, but its still a tightly-packed field. On to what looks like a sprint stage tomorrow.
