Oh well, they can buy a vintage Triumph and look super fly instead...

I don't know the brand. By your comment is it a bit 'classic Top Gear'?

Hey! Belstaff Made a product for a cyclist once you know!!! 😋

(I must confess that my teasing is little more than rank jealousy, rather liking, as I do, the idea of a wax cotton jacket and a Triumph 😶

I have been taking a deeper look at the 2020 Tour De France and it looks like the 2020 Tour de france will be the tour of the climbers. You will not benefit much for being good in the time trails (which is Bernal his biggest weakness, so he is a lucky boy).

So there is no point for bringing all-round GC riders like Froome and Thomas (even if they are in shape), you need climbers. So Bernal is indeed the best for this job (even if Froome and Thomas were in shape).

You really have to hate Team Ineos / Sky. If the Tour De France this year will be Tour De Climbers, then we just replace our GC riders with the best climbers in the world (Carapez is pretty good too). Team Ineos is the team with the deepest of pockets really.

Jumbo-Visma has some strong climbers and Roglic looks unbeatable at this moment, but Ineos does not look so bad with Bernal and Carapez if it is all about climbing this year.

Nobody seems to be talking about Quintana this year. I know he is old and past his peak, but given that this year edition is where pure climbers will shine, he can get some good results (top 5 finish maybe?)

A quick reminder here that Nairo Quintana is younger than Primoz Roglic

  • It's a shame that sport is dominated by business and money, because for the sporting spectacle, it would be far more intresting to annually (or perhaps even more frequently) "draft" riders into teams. Consequently, in theory, the top riders would be spread throughout the teams and increase the odds of more top name riders duking it out.

But sadly, money usually buys sporting success.

Is Dunbar scheduled for any of the GT squads? He seems a bit of a forgotten entity on the Ineos squad but I could see him doing well at the Vuelta given a chance.

They can't tell him he's on the team too early in case he attacks.

Chris froome has been the best climber in the world over the past 10 years. Thomas was also the best climber in the tour when he won it in 2018.

    This photo.

They've got him to sit down because his trousers are too big/long and those shoes look so loose they'll fall off the second he walks off.

Ahhhh, I did t know that...

It must be said that as much as Egan and Richard seem like lovely boys, the marketing for Belstaff and Grenadier probably wasn't supposed to look like this...

Oh Si Si, I love the grenadeeer, is a seeembol of Breetish Country.... 😋

Yeah, I mean not to have sports personality of the year Thomas along for the Tour, very odd decision for me. I know winning is important, but so is a name the general
British public recognise. The UK must be a key market for the Grenadier.

Current evidence would point to the opposite.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

This continual discovery of the extent of the Ineos empire is quite entertaining.

In the same vein as Patrick Vieira congratulating surDave for his decisions.

It will be quite nice to watch it without really caring who wins for a change.

And that was probably one of the less stupid observations in their post.

His mind is with Israel Start-Up Nation, so that’s that as far as Intravenous and Froome are concerned.

Judging by the Tirrano maybe he should have joined UK firesale nation !
