Hi all,
Returning to the hobby after 6 years away. I left the hobby reasonably fit and to be honest I let myself due to becoming a dad and being diagnosed type 1 diabetic after becoming very ill.
Without wishing to sound like an excuse maker but fitness scares me due to the complexities of being on insulin and the risk of going into hypoglycemia. I'm now overweight and with other looming health issues as a result of diabetes I want to return to what I used to love.
So tonight I did 15 minutes on a turbo trainer.....dam that sucked! I wanted to be in the safety of my home whilst I build up confidence.
Are there any fellow diabetics that could offer any words of wisdom?
