Why don’t you give the OP a break guys.

You know exactly what he means and it comes across that he’s after some advice so instead of taking the piss, why not give him some help.

Do the legwork yourself. The best bit about a dream bike is the hunt for it.
Read up. Check out bikes yourself.

When you get the dream bike - the first few rides are great and then it's just your normal bike...

    Do you think so?
I was lucky enough to buy the car of my dreams 14 years ago and I still get excited when I know I’m going to be driving it.
    It’s most certainly not normal.

(Cycle Republic are in Piccadilly, Mcr)

You don't see many of these around...

No price lol, and good luck getting one out of Italy at the minute!

Edit: I guess you're looking at £6k upwards then. Blimey, that blue is gorgeous:

It's a bike. The car isn't limited by your leg power. Your bike isn't going to have a lovely exhaust note or smell of leather.

A dream bike might be slightly quicker than your other bikes or have nicer paint but it's not radically different from your others.

Does that count as essential travel?

To me an interesting thread... Dream bike means different things to different people. I remember seeing one of these when they came out and no way could I afford one. Eventually a NOS one came up on eBay and it's now my best bike...

Buying stock from a couple of years ago, frame only and building with Wireless should be fun...

Dream bike to me in a WyndyMilla Saw Dr. with Ultegra di2 disc, custom Cadbury Purple paint job, Quarq powermeter and Zipp 50mm deep wheels.

Completely built to my riding style and body measurements. Close to £10k id say and something i would love to own. knowing id be out on it pretty much everyday.

Chances are to have this bike, id have a boat load of money, so no need to work.

I like a steel bike, but those WindtMilla bikes look ugly. Maybe they look better in real life, but I can't imagine splashing out £3k+ on something that doesn't make my heart leap when I look at it.

Some rude responses on here which are uncalled for but not untypical.

How about an Orbea Orca Aero? Okay, not British but you can spec the key components yourself and create a unique colour scheme for the frame, forks and decals.

I got one last year and was open mouthed at collection, it was so gorgeous. At your price bracket, you could get a wonderful configuration.

    Nice place to be, enjoy!

I think the Trek Madone is the perfect bike for you. It is one of the fastest aero bike with endurance feature (they have some kind of damping in the seat post to make it comfortable).

The Trek Madone has even won gravel races, so you know it is also a good endurance bike despite being also an aero bike.

Trek is a bit expensive though, but their carbon is top of the range based on tests.

The 2020 Trek Domane also looks interesting. It is an endurance bike which has been redesigned to include more aero features.

So if the Madone is too much of an aero bike, the Domane could also be interesting.

I would stay away from Specialized as their endurance bike has a known flaw and a recall was issued.
