Hi, any advice on cleaning up this wheel I purchased from eBay?

    Take the parts off and soak in white vinegar. It works!

    Not even sure I'd worry about that. Just wire-brush it then protect it with a bit of WD, GT or similar

    As a maintenance imbecile I wanted to make sure that WD/GT weren't going to cause more issues than they'd resolve in this instance.

    Keep the WD away from the bearings. If needs be, just spray some of it onto a brush and apply it that way. That would remove the risk of any over-spray onto the seals or bearings..

    Wire brush and then apply some grease
