How do you turn a duck into a (now deceased) soul singer?
Put it in the microwave until it's Bill Withers.

    Bloody hell, so close KG

Honor Blackman, lucky chap if it was back in the day. No more Pussy Galore.
94 years old, a bloody good innings.

Beat me to it. I was going to use the witty strapline 'Pu$$y Galore is no more'. Can you believe she was 39 when she was in Goldfinger?

Steve Priest, bassist with Sweet. No more Blockbuster for him. Maybe glam rock should make a come back, it looked like they were having a lot of fun.

I'll go for this lot of crusties:-
    1. Kirk Douglas
    2. Vera Lynn
    3. Olivia de Havilland

    Tragedy pick: Shane McGowan.

Got one! Is this a first on the thread?

I win as well. Whats the prize?
That is well and truly backing the favourite. :)
Kirk Douglas was the youngest on your list at 103.
You wouldn't get long odds on all three checking out this year.
Well it's your second this year, and she was a popular choice.

Does Dame Vera bow out with the title of the most nominated person on this thread over the years? (Prince Phillip possibly her main competition)

Oh yeah, missed Kirk. I'm on a roll - are there any prizes for a hat trick?

Ennio Morricone, spaghetti westerns wouldn't have been the same without him.

Amazingly, after 7 decades and more than 400 film and tv scores, Morricone won his first competitive Academy Award for his score for “The Hateful Eight,” at the age of 88.
Truly one of the world's greatest film composers.

Hé was robbed with The Mission and, as Veronese says, the music defined the Leone Westerns. I can’t remember The Hateful Eight music (other than it being obviously Morricone) , and was surely a belated effort to put the record straight. Glad he was around long enough to get it.

True, the score to 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' was absolutely classic.
