  • Danny Dimes, woof.

Very impressive stuff, massive comeback win. Still a lot of holes but a W is a W.

Monday night concluded Week 3 with the Chicago Bears winning in Washington. By all accounts the Bears D line is keeping them going. Whilst Mitch Trubisky completed 25 of 31 passes, 24 of the completions were of 15 yards or less!! It will be interesting to see whether Matt Nagy keeps faith with him over the next couple of weeks as he now ranks 2nd to last behind the Dolphins Josh 'the chosen' Rosen.

The Cowboys went to 3-0 against the Dolphins, eventually winning by a flattering 31-6, thanks to two TDs in thea 3rd quarter. Otherwise I think it was quite a lack lustre performance against the worst team in the NFL, who did show signs of some defiance by going into the break 4 points down. They are still looking good for a win less season, although they do get to play the Bengals later on, so perhaps one win could be on the cards.

Patriots continued their march towards the post season, going 3-0 against the Jets, the GOAT throwing for over 300 yards and two TDs.

Game of the weekend was the Chiefs at home to the Ravens. Patrick Mahomes II throwing for 374 yards and 3 TDs and inflicting Baltimores' first loss. It wasn't all one way traffic, with the Ravens rushing for 4 TDs, three for running back Mark Ingram and QB Lamar Jackson running in one too.

Cardinals suffered another defeat this time at home to the Carolina Panthers. I did think this was their opportunity to open their win account, but alas Panthers stand in QB had a reasonably good game, throwing 261 yards for 4 TDs and no interceptions. Whilst his opposite number one draft Kyler Murray struggled again with a couple of interceptions. Arizona still rebuilding but not sure they'll be a post season team for a couple of years yet.

Green Bay had a scrappy win at home to Denver and continue their 100% start. I hope to never see that retro kit again.
Rams also maintained their perfect start by winning at Cleveland with another great passing performance from Jared Goff and the Rams D-line sacking Baker Mayfield 3 times. Not looking to be the great season the folks of Cleveland were hoping for at present.

And Finally the Giants won on the road at Tampa Bay. All thanks to a hapless kicking performance by Matt Gay of the Bucs. Who missed two TD conversions and let the pressure of a win get the better of him in the dying seconds by missing a 3 pointer after Jameis Winston had superbly driven the Bucs up the field from deep in home territory with the clock ticking.
Danny 'Dimes' Jones looking good as a replacement for the benched Manning.

    Patriots lose to Ravens.
    Packers lose to Chargers.
    Dolphins win!!
Only unbeaten team now are 49ers.
Some of the leagues are now tightening up with recent results over last couple of weeks.
Miami's plan to tank the season and get No1 draft pick for a franchise QB may have backfired.
    Cleveland still rubbish.
Arizona looking a bit more competitive.

Week 10 closed out on Monday night with the game of the weekend, Seahawks at the unbeaten 49ers. Russell Wilson was imperious in a game that went to overtime that saw Jason Myers kick from 42 yards out between the posts as the clock ran out.
Wilson must surely be a main contender for MVP.

Packers got back to winning ways holding out at snowy Lambeau Field against the Panthers. The Vikings are hot on their heals after an on the road win at Dallas... one game in it for the NFC North.

The New Orleans Saints suffered a shock 9-26 loss at home to the Falcons, it will not be enough to save Atlantas' season and the Saints sill look on course to take the NFC South.

The Bengals miserable season continues as they were hammered by the Ravens by a margin of 36 points. Baltimore looking quite comfortable for the AFC North, but then they have the Bengals, Browns and a stuttering Steelers in their division...Cleveland managed to pick up their thirds win of the season against the Buffalo Bills. Baker Mayfield yet to look a convincing franchise QB and could find himself traded at the end of the season.

Jets and the Giants went head to head in New Jersey with the Jets running out 34-27 winners. Thats 2 wins now for Jets who's other rival for bottom place in the AFC East are the Miami Dolphins who amazingly made it two wins on the spin by winning at the Indianapolis Colts. The Dolphins in danger of losing out on the number one draft pick which must surely be in Cincinnatis grasp.

Kansas City Chiefs saw the welcome return of Patrick Mahomes to starting QB, despite throwing for 446 yards they lost by 3 points to the Titans. Ryan Tannehill throwing for half the distance of his opponent by with a far better completion rate.

Finally last season beaten Superbowl finalists the LA Rams lost again to the Steelers. With San Francisco and Seattle in the same division the Rams season must surely be over.

The season is heading towards an exciting regular season climax. Lots of places up for grabs for post season and home advantage chopping and changing.

This weekend sees the first round of the playoffs. Some great games in the offing and interesting to see how the Patriots get on. Could be the end of a dynasty, with Tom Brady out of contract this year.
