  • Morning. Bright and v breezy day. May surf but wind direction not playing so could be a windy ride. Followed by beer and vino collapso this evening. Splendid.

Resting which is a pain because I could do a hybrid commute - especially important as I need to beat the traffic as I’m at the theatre later watching some bloke talk about cutting his own frost bitten fingers off

Good luck with the traffic, I believe the schools go back today around these parts

I'm on a delayed train to London for an hour's meeting. It's stopped raining and turned nice now I'm on the train. Forecast is for rubbish weather the minute I get back.

Also on a train into town, different one from the usual as I'm headed direct to an advisor where they have lured us in with the promise of free cooked brekky. Couldn't really say no :)

Then more dealing with idiots this afternoon.

hissing down here. bambini have friends around so will deal with that then prep for schools going back tomorrow.

Morning, was working on the west coast yesterday so I rode at Dunoon after, it's still as dreadful as it was when I raced there a few years ago. I also tripped over and there is an alarming amount of pain in my radius right up near the elbow where I broke it last time... riding tonight will sort it out I'm sure

Hayden, put a plaster on an crack on but make a point to tell everyone why you have a plaster on your elbow.

Damp here rained before I woke up looks like it wants to deposit further moisture soon. Headache and tired mainly sure sign of having contracted "work".

Was asked if I wanted to go to Italy last minute, I declined. Whats wrong with me!
  • Why decline? Was it work based or pleasure?

Too many "just one more" glasses of wine last night watching La Vuelta. I'll never learn.

ISO/EN1090 guff today in readiness for a dual audit. Do the people that write this crap work in the real world?

    An yes I'm likely mad
  • but but but it may be work but would involve Italy and Italians and vino and salami and proper food and culture and get away from the lunacy that is the UK at the mo and all that stuff.

  • This coming weekend is why I need to leave a few bikes over in Italy, glorious weather is forecast and my two wheeled friend will be at home in the garage.

At least MrsHD will be happy in the sun.

I'll have a look on gumtree for the next time I drive out.

How difficult can it be to be a receptionist at Specsavers?

Maybe it's a bit like those surveys by the French tourist board where the feedback was basically, lovely food, great scenery, loads to do etc - spoiled only by the locals? :)

Just been over to the Japanese Centre near piccadilly circus to collect some sake. Had delicious tonkotsu ramen while there, then looked at tourists for a bit. Smashing.

  • Just a heads up then that I probably wont post on the upcoming daily threads from Saturday through to Thursday as my replies will mainly consist of lunch, espresso, pizza, prosecco, beer, dinner, limoncello, sunshine and various other Italian niceties.

Friday will be a bump back to reality as usual.

generally they always are, its just that people have believed the hype/marketing, made a mountain out of a molehill or are members of a club and all this stops them from believing the truth.
