Getting back on the road after riding 143 miles

Hello,

I just road 143 miles last Saturday. My body feels well, except for a little soreness. When should I begin implementing my Cycling training? I have another 130 mile ride coming up on the 24th of this month.
Should I take it easy for a few days to give my body rest before I go full tilt training?

    nobody can answer that without knowing how much you normally ride, how often and what sort of ride it will be

    Try some short easy recovery rides and see how it goes. You'll know from how you feel how long and hard to ride. No rush though. Avoiding cycling is probably not the way to go

    Pretty sure huge rides and then periods off the bike aren't as good as a bit of consistency.

    What's hurting ? I'd get back on it ASAP and train if I feel like it.

    Did you build up to the big ride ?
