Whatever happened to Esteban Chaves? Far away from being a GC threat. Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing. Did win a monument after all.

At least he's on the right stage.

Everyone looked a bit knackered after yesterday, but Movistar are for once leveraging their team strength perfectly. You had Roglic and Nibali made to chase with the race leader by 2 min sat on their wheel, then ultimately both Movistar riders taking time on a stage where you wouldn't necessarily expect gaps.

If stage highlights excitement can be measured in advance from thread lengths, I'm guessing this wasn't a thriller...

Has anyone had to deal with 'Eurosport player not available in this country - try again'?
I am at my wife's parents' place in Hay-on-Wye, though v much on the English side, and being forced to watch the stage in Welsh.

How do you think we feel when they show live Ingerlund football games on BBC and ITV in Wales?

Well if one person hadn't been posting on the wrong thread it would have been a bit longer...

Nan peters was the freshest guy in the break . lot of the other riders had done a lot of work earlier in the race. Tired racing. NaBali looked heavy legged. Roglic more so. Movistar know what they are doing.

The profile was rolling with a net climb all day.
It was brutal. What a grind.

I see Nibs made Roglic work - to his own detriment.

Great to see Chaves trying and getting something after such a bad time for him.

Had (has?) Epstein-Barr virus last year - same as Cav - whether it's still affecting him or he just missed too much training/racing and is short on fitness I don't know.

Amazing what a difference the road makes. That climb seemed like it was quite hard but on a big open road it was incredibly uninspiring to watch. Had it been on a narrow tree lined zig zag it would have been more exciting I feel, not sure why though.
