    Overkill by Motorhead and Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine,the later I think my parents got totally sick of hearing at the time when it came out,as that song or the full album were never really played quite and were played a lot

    Definitely, best album opening, to one of the great albums.

    Saw them in Bath this week, still a really good live band.

    That song's got such a strange structure though. Essentially the chorus arrives as the "outro" section.

    'All My Life' by Foo Fighters - I just love the wait it starts off relatively quietly before a virtual explosion of sound. I can't remember his exact words but I recall Dave Grohl saying something about his approach to music being quite simple in that he liked 'just drums, bass and a sh1tload of phucking guitars' (suitable cleaned up for sensitive mods!).
