Went for a St Stephanus Blonde a Oude Geuze Boon.

Saw the Westmalle but ive had that before and Leffe ive had loads so added two new ones to the list
Have you had that gueze/any gueze before?

Word of warning, it ain't like the others you mention. Not at all...

Not tried the brand at all.. just saw it and thought its a Belgium I've not had before.

What sort of beer is it ? I've got some back up beers anyway..

Thing is 1000 AM for me is actually 1600 in the afternoon for my time zone so technically I can drink all race long

Gueze is a type of sour beer, the one you have is a good example of the style, but the style in general is something of an acquired taste. Very dry and sour.

i'll give it a go.. if i end up switching to the Heineken then im not enjoying it lol It was the fancy bottle that swung it for me. Only just realised I could've ordered some Alp D'Huez beer online

Boonen prediction a weird one with the winner coming from a much earlier move.

    Cross headwind today.

Going to be locked up for quite a while.

    2016 it won’t be.

I can't see a successful break forming for another hour or so.

A tip here: if the sediment has been disturbed and the beer is cloudy, leave it to settle. Gueuze should be clear when you drink it. It makes a big difference, both to the taste/texture and to your bowels the day after.

    Degenkolb.

Looking at that list, Auchy, Mons and the Carrefour all should have a bit of tail/crosswind......

There might be a headwind, but they still manage to cover 46kms in the first hour.

You can see all the links on steephill.tv. Depends where you are, I’m watching on France 3.

So, they are a couple of minutes up on the fastest schedule, even though it's all been ridden into a headwind.

I seem to have to do this every time, even though I'm watching Sporza/Eurosport on tv. :?

You won't need the Leffe to fall asleep if this non break goes on much longer.....

It's obvious who is going to win: -

They will be on some super aero bike that saves them loads of watts, or be on a bike with loads of trick suspension bits or floppy seat posts, and they will have a 12 speed cassette of course...

Why would anyone bother entering without any of those???
