Half the ERG have already declared they will vote against. It would be a futile gesture.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Some MPs will vote as a futile but self serving gesture knowing it will not change the end result.0 -
Some political pundit on 5 live is predicting a 100+ defeat!
Surely this time that will spell the end of Theresa May’s clusterfuck of her time as Prime Minister, but I’ve thought that before and she still hangs grimly on!!0 -
Oops, got that a bit wrong. Said TM. As well as me.0

To be fair, I can certainly see that cycling 100 miles not to go through Birmingham could be a good deal!Faster than a tent.......0 -

130 Rolf! We do things properly here!
Compare with a more famous event which charges 8 times the price to cycle (less) through both Birmingham AND Coventry!!left the forum March 20230 -

It's not a surcharge... it's a different thing. If you enter by post, you have to send a self addressed and stamped envelope too. I need to spend 50 p in stamp to send the validated brevet card back to someone who paid with paypal...left the forum March 20230 -

Funny enough, I was torn to pieces on YACF for suggesting that maybe charging 6 pounds and not offering anything at all was a bit unjustified... I had to leave the forum...
That said, I did stick to my word and I am charging 2 quid for my bare-bones version of BRUM 200, where I am offering the same as others offer for 6 quid... = nothing other than Audax validationleft the forum March 20230
