    Demare went too early.

Trentin hobbled by FDJ lead out.

    Degenkolb badly placed.

Turning into a Bennett benefit race.
He'll be looking for a new team for next year.
    Cheque books out.

    Not surprised. Cracking sprint today

Might be good for Sagan to have Bennett ride MSR, as it gives him tactical options.

    Today's big finish.

    tumblr_po1sg0AQF61ropreyo3_1280.png

181km and over 4,000m of vertical gain, there’s plenty of climbing just to reach the foot of the Col de Turini, today’s summit finish but all the climbs along the way are steady ascents, sometimes some 6-7% but rarely more and they often average 5%.
Unlike the profile on the ASO race site, this profile is supposed to be more accurate.

Ah, a stage finishing up the Col de Turini..and no talk of tyre choice issues.(Soft, hard, studded, mixed) That's got to be a first.

Hope my men Molard and Calmejane are feeling good. They've worked hard to keep places in a super tough PN so far and riding GC stylee

Also the boy Madouas has been impressive

Quite a lot of time they gave the break, with Gilbert in it just a couple of minutes off GC.

My god it's hard to follow two races, each containing a Yates.

All of them have had a dig or two, none can get away completely. I make Yates favourite.
