    I have a plan. Got a 9-36t 11 speed and a 39t ringfor the commutor.

Oi MF, pictures as and when. And no prevarication like that Belgian monstrosity you cobbled together.:lol::lol:

It shall be so - watch this space. Am temporarily glued to a motorbike fairing so it may be a few days - work breaks up on the 14th so will probably crack on with it then.

    It's a 42t, but this is offered in 130mm BCD: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Race-Face-Sing ... B00HEE7NUA

It's available in 40t elsewhere but for a lot more money. You definitely want a narrow/wide ring to stop the chain coming off. From running 1x on my MTBs, a clutch is nice to have by a NW ring is vital

arrived today and is very cool - light, nicely made, very black, looks cool.

thank you very much for the recommendation.

I love probably do the work over Christmas. My trp spyres are self adjusting again. Like brexit I am fed up with my brakes. Like brexit it's taken two years of self adjusting calipers to get to the listing mess. All change now but I could be back to the original deal if it does not work.

Did it today. The leonardi 9-36t cassette weighs 233g. The rear derailleur is a RD 5800GS. Obviously the cassette profile is not what Shimano intended so the shifting is s bit clunky. So that 42/9-36t gearing.

The bike was nicked early this week, recovered and then given its first clean for over 12 months and an overhaul. Mudguards are next week's job.
