Overall I thought that was a pretty decent edition of the race (after last year's dud). An A-list winner, a heavyweight podium, five different leaders and some good performances from young British riders (Pidcock, Swift and Hayter)

Yes some great racing behind the Thomas/Froome festival. Great out on the roads and looked good on TV. Alaphilippe a very worthy winner and nice to see wins from riders who’d had not stellar seasons - Stannard, Ewan & Greipel.
Team Wiggins certainly showed they were due the entry too.
