Hey guys.
i recently forgot to do regular maintenance on my mountain bike so this was fully my fault,
on one of my last descents my rear break got stuck a little causing it to overheat
i am getting the breaks re-built / re-blead... but would the pads / separator still be usable

For the cost I’d get a new set0

For how much they cost (less than £10), I'd get a new set.
Have a look at my recent posts for a recommendation, I've ordered them today.

The pads are probably heavily glazed now, just get a new set.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

If you've cooked your brakes you dont' want to put the old pads in.
Good excuse to go shopping."Ride, crash, replace"0 -

Hey Dave. & ofcouse the rest who provided advice on the matter.
There was nothing wrong with the slinterd pads when i initially bought them however due to faulty / lack of maintenance they got cooked. I will probably rebuy the same pads, was an interesting read though0
