Pain/cramp in outside of foot

Recently got a new pair of cycling shoes that I went into a store to purchase and try on and on the first ride have encountered cramp/numbness in the outer edge of the foot in the smaller toes.

Had my cleats setup with the new shoes and surprised having this almost cramp after 20/30 mins or so!

Any ideas on what it may be? I have BG insoles in these now and wouldn't have thought these would cause those.

    Possibly (just possibly) you might need angled shims. I had similar symptoms before I had a decent bike fit and had shims fitted. Best solution would be a bike fit from a foot specialist (not all bike fitters do feet well).
