Watching Froome descending, bit like watching a cat falling out a tree. Legs all over the show but still lands on its feet.
Must be doing something right, he gained time on the descent

Lopez and Carapaz do take the wee-wee dont they
They're just racing each other, no interest in what the others do. So it makes sense.

Was Froome’s bottle from the Sky car about a kilometre from the top of the Finestre strictly legal?
    Why wouldn’t it be?

Froome must be on the slightly steeper stuff by now, yet holding the time. He's flying.

I'd love to see a virtual standings table.

This Giro will be talked about for the complete collapse of the man who'd been in pink for 13 days and won 4 stages.

Regardless of whether Froome or Dumoulin wins.

Dumoulin in pink by 44 seconds, ahead of Froome. Pozzovivo in 3rd by over 3 minutes

Eurosport not even showing Yates time now

TD has to make a decision soon.

 Another insert from Rai, telling me about this climb. I'd rather watch them race it...

When does Pinot start to protect himself against a Lopez mugging?

Pinot is poor here. Reichenback is clearly not able to hold Froome, and he's sitting back doing nothing.

Froome did this last year at criterium du dauphine where he attached Richie Porte, then blew up. I don’t think it matters to him, he is just testing himself. If it sticks it’s amazing but let’s not get too excited yet.

A bit like Contador's double. You still remember it don't you, on the results sheet or not

Yeah but there are other people in the gc race, its not just white jersey. They could contribute an equal amount without blowing their own chances.

When TD goes to the front the two hangers on are dropped, then FDJ get on the front and they get back. Dumoulin is on his own here.

Froome still isn't half way to the finish line relative to when he attacked.

But if one doesn't fancy it, the other won't either. And if one does there's no guarantee that the other one will then join in, Pozzo will lose time for the rest of the stage

Even if Froome does blow, he'll still be ahead of Yates in the GC. Who blows the least
