Lol at the crowd there. Motobike rider about to hand out some discipline, European style.

OK - Why would anybody work with TD to pull back Froome other than Pozzovivo who has been dropped?

Pinot to get on the podium.
Cameras suggest that Pinot is hanging on to TD

    Long way to go.

The stage that comes to mind is that 2011 Tour stage up to the Galibier & Schleck.

Reminds me a bit of Schleck against Evans in the Tour a few years ago on the Galibier.

This is batsh!t. Yates seems to be losing time at 1 second per second. I know I said I feared he’d blow up in these stages but I wasn’t expecting anything like this. Probably the best GT stage I’ve witnessed and still the matter of two little hills to come!

Me too, no help for Froome ahead though whereas Schleck had two team mates to help him in the valley. This descent shoudl be fun though

Dumoulin has put in a massive effort to lead that group up and cling onto Froome's coat tails.

How big will the gap be when TD goes over the top?

    Pinot just got off?

Pinot mechanical. Dumoulin would be wise to wait for him.

The thing is though, three weeks ago today, Froome rode a bad prologue, so he can't win today.

Anyone else noticed how the crowd get thinner as you get closer to the top. Not less of them, just thinner.
