    it did seem to go from monsoon output on the tarmac to as dry as you like without any in between. But I guess it's warmer in those foreign climes.

    I remember a stage once when loads of riders were taken down slipping on the painted adverts at the finish when it rained hard

    The splitscreen there clearly showed heavy rain at the finish and no rain at all where the riders are, 5km away (probably less as the crow flies)... it's really not that controversial.
