    I miss my 156 estate,

Me too - I had the 5-pot 2.4 diseasal - quick, fun, car (I even took it for a Knockhill trackday - lapped quicker than the 2.5 petrol V6) but it started costing me a fortune in repairs like replacing the dual-mass fly.

    Sorted my son. BACK IN.

Nitrous oxide cyclinder had come loose. Either that or rattly worn out brake pads. One of the two.

Right, car afficionados, here is one for you.

MF was getting the serious power down in his Honda Accord earlier (he thinks its 10 years old, 50,000 miles, always fully serviced) and its started making a rattling noise from what seems the back end.

Its not graunching or rubbing like its pads down to metal sort of thing, no funny stuff with handling, but intermittent rattling like you're shaking a tin can full of bits of metal, so he's guessing exhaust/catalyser. Came on suddenly.

Doesn't happen all the time, still revs through and sits on the limiter when he's getting serious power down, VTEC (no, not that VTEC) works fine.

He reckons that if it is the catalyser he'll live with it by just turning the stereo up when he's playing his banging tunes. or just get an aftermarket silencer and throw the broken exhaust and catalyser into next door's garden after smashing it with a hammer and setting fire to it with fire.

    Waddya say?

    I say who is MF?

MF reckons that schizzle is far too dangerous. Stuff that for a game of soldiers.

No he doesn't. I and I write on behalf of MF. MF is fine and he is.

You seem confused but it's all fairly simple.

    Weirdo.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Honda Accord :)

well, you can't defend the indefensible - its a honda so apart from the brake pads wearing out in 50,000 miles where its been abused daily its never even thought of missing a beat.

in flappy paddle mode its actually a laugh to drive flat out (the VTEC makes a nice noise), goes alright, keeps under the radar and you can still do 75 in second with a dog in the trunk, two bambini in the back and a couple of bikes on the roof.

big enough to fit the world inside.

would i and i buy another: probably not. in the 10 years we've had it its served its purpose perfectly and has, for the past 5, owed us nothing at all.

not cool at all, just does what it says on the tin very well.

He is too cerebral to think about petty stuff such as this.

    He has higher thoughts.
