Amino Acid Tablets

bianchi_davebianchi_dave Posts: 847
Anyone here take amino acid tablets or have experience/knowledge of them? Just bought a pair of trainers from probikekit and got 180 of these things free!
I take the usual electrolyte tablets in my bidons but wondered if theres any additional benefit to be had with these?
Cheers

Just eat a balanced diet with enough protein in it. Meat/fish should give you all the amino acids you need, if you are veggie make sure you get a range of different protein sources rather than relying on a single one.

    Waste of time.

Sell them to a clubbie and spend the profits on blow and ho.

Pretty much my thinking, although I'm not in "da' club." There's usually a reason why something is free.

My wife studied health sciences so we have a good diet with plenty of protein (eggs, fish, meats etc) and I also supplement with protein shakes after a hard ride.

Guess I was hoping these pills would be like "Edgar" and provide amazing recovery!
