    Mad Wurtz down :-(

Big crash about 30-40 riders back. Some Sky were down as well, looked like Thomas.

Thomas was down, but he got up. Not sure Mads Wurtz was getting back on a bike. Magnus Cort was also down.

So split in the peloton, BMC trying to bring it back together for GVA.

Wurz getting a stretcher & neck brace (though he was sitting earlier)

Tony Martin leading a small group at the front

Terpstra bought all teammates a Rolex to say thanks

Good on him. Shows he recognises their contribution and that he’s a team player

    Thomas has abandoned.

He’s an accident magnet. Shame, I would have liked to see him give it some beans today
  • Didn`t think conditions look too bad.

Too ill to cycle , so it`s me and Amstel watching the whole thing.

    That last crash looked nasty.
Trek,,,, too cool for school ,, apparently

Just back from my now traditional (as of last year) pre-Roubaix Cheshire cobbles ride, mine were very muddy.

    Has anything exciting happened?

Crash took Roelandts and a teammate of BMC out.

GvA and Maes had a bit of a chase.

Sky have been crash happy and Thomas is out.

    Olivera has a broken collarbone.
