Also can't get Ride with GPS to pick up my local bike path no matter what map I select and despite selecting the Bike Paths option. Frustrating. Edit: Seems to be just that path that doesn't work as seems to work fine on another bike path I tried.

If I recall correctly, RWGPS has a tick box option at side of the screen to ‘follow roads’ when creating a route. This option allows you to put two waypoints miles apart and it follows the road rather than just linking the waypoints directly. Untick this when you reach the bike path that is causing the issue and plot away. Once you’ve passed the bike path you can re-tick the box.

By doing this you can plot a route across the English Channel Lol.
I have a nearly opposite problem. I've got a free ride with gps account and use the "optimise for cycling" option. Quite frequently, it will route me across "roads" that turn out to be gravel paths or footpaths or tracks. I've learned to check the route quite carefully to avoid this, and sometimes force it to "optimise for driving" in order to avoid this.
