Those boys are on it alright with Abraham as well, amazing what you can do if you want to,i still think on Tommy Godwin and Beryl Burton and what they achieved.

TdF shakeup. Interesting stage one. Won’t spoil it.

Vuelta is hotting up. It's already better than the TdF.

I think Kwiatowski looked a bit isolated. I don't think SKY is a team as strong as for Froome in the Giro or Thomas in the Tour. Perhaps, they were spent. For that, I think Kwiato is being dealt a poor hand.
If teams sense SKY are not as strong, he's going to have a hell of a job fending rivals off.

    Mate looks classy.

    Go Yates, go.

Good summary so far but there is a long way to go and I think there will be major shuffles.
Which makes it more entertaining for the neutral, helped by Sky putting out a B team.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

There's no dominant team out there.

Cannot believe that there is still 9 days of racing left in this enthralling Vuelta.
    3 MTF's in a row starting tomorrow.

Quite funny. People moan about Sky dominating races but when they don't bother neither does anyone else. After you....... Race should start this weekend.

    Brilliant! What an enthralling Vuelta.

I have the same feeling that I had on the eve of the TT between Roche and Delgado.
It really is squeaky bum time.

    Go Yates, go. Please deliver.

Quite intriguing. Would be nailed on if I hadn't watched the Giro. As a sideshow, Quintana has 2 days to rescue his team leader status and reverse the glacier like decline.

Quintana gets dropped like me when the road goes up. Quintana is the size of one of my legs. He needs a rest, or to get back on the maté tea. Or he is crap.

He had a good start to his career. He had wins. He had the potential to be a great.

  • That lad Yates is getting me back into grand tours, big time. (Geraint played his part too). Remember him emerging at a Tour of Turkey some years back. All is good in the world.

Is he up for the worlds? Might suit him...

I haven't even looked at the course in Innsbruck.

There are those who have specifically used the Vuelta as a training exercise. Yates isn't one.
The course is lumpy but whenever favourites are mentioned, it is not your GC types.

Same as any distance event. Mo Farrah, supreme athlete he is, running the 10000m, the first 9500m are not great viewing.
