Feck I'm tired - needed much more sleep, but on the bright side I've watched a few narcos and a film.

Now watching Scrooge with the eldest, before going for a run with a pal

A few jobs and family time before venturing to church for the family service then onto friends for a party

  • Farque me it was hot again this morning. Near 40C about lunch time, but a storm and some breeze cooled things off this afternoon.

Did domestic chores mainly, interspersed with dips in pool.

Off to Waitrose for the things we forgot. Would like to go for a ride, but will settle for a dog walk later. Champagne and carols from Kings later to get me into the mood.

The hound has been walked and he is now snoozing on the sofa. We did our best (again) to scrub off the smell of the fox sh1t that he rolled in yesterday but there's still a faint whiff.

Visit to cousins place over in Norwood later best keep the car doors locked. Then a spot of Dads taxi as Stropteen wants to go hoss riding. After that the main features will hopefully be food and drink.

Just done that myself. The Noval 10 year old tawny. Was tempted by a single quinta vintage, but cba to take it off the sediment.

    Morning

I was planning on an early morning ride but that didn't happen - awake from 3-6 due to someone coughing all night.
    Off to see relatives later.

Has anyone else recently (this week) lost KOMs to rides from 3/4 years ago? Just lost one now and the other ride is dated 2015. Had 2 others this week.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start has been had. Also need to pop to the shop as we are doing the veg for lunch tomorrow. Didn’t get any as nobody told us we were doing it. Bike with basket is very useful at times like this. Might go for a ride or a walk later. Pub visit will follow.
Haven’t lost any KOM’s lately, mainly as I haven’t had any for a while now.
Have a good day one and all.

    What?! This is BB.

    Going swimming with toots.
    Yesterday was a train crash.

Christ it is dull. Need some sun to pop through the clouds.

    Laters.

If they were man enough, they would just get out there and get them back. Taping your Garmin to the car helps.

Would anyone like some Polish in laws for Christmas? They don't sleep so they won't need a bed.

There's a guest house nearby, would it be rude to ask them to p!ss off at night?

Watching a hot undergrad do a reading on Carols from Kings and drinking a more than acceptable Heidsieck Imperatrice. No idea where it came from, but we have obviously had it a few years. Beautifully honeyed champagne.

I suppose it's too early in the evening for 'Babe Station' and tramp fuel.

Father Christmas has been, and is off to bed. All the deep prep done for lunch, so it's just a matter of timing and assemblage. 15 year old Cote Rotie standing up for me. Some generic blah for everyone else.

Happy Christmas to all you BB buggers.

Contrary to what some my think, I DO have a social conscience.
I was doing my bit to aid the third world.

Fair enough. Are you watching people on More 4 get shocked about 70's telly?
