    Nope, not interested.
He lives in Scotland, and rides a bike with graffiti on it. Buy the titanium frame. It's not a bike for life, but it's shiny and metal. Put carbon bits on it. Ride it fast, whilst cutting a dash in nice kit.

I have just this weekend finished packing up 9 boxes full of dismantled bikes, wheels, tools, accessories and spares, and today I see a drool-worthy frameset available for a reasonable price.

Should I N+1? A PITA to pack another, but its only a frame, and its nice and I need it and it would use up some spares and did I mention its titanium? :D

If the geometry suits I just might.

    Otherwise work meh.

Of course - it’s a treat celebrate the new house.

Buy it. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it now. Buy it. Buy it now.

Barbarians, philistines, savages... I ride Italian frames made in Italy with Italian bits made in Romania.

No idea why that doesn't flick the switches of the NFNATN loving faux eyetie.

This is true. I already have a Ti framed crudder bike which is a thing of beauty...

    13792573724_b2479ed0d8_b.jpg
That now has suspension forks instead of the rigid carbon, so I have some spares...

And I have some blue anodised Tune cranks and hubs bling, and a box full of spare rims to build up for something...

I am sure another Ti bike would be a good thing. It's similar but a 26" wheel size.

Lady judges are very definitely my thing. See you when the fog lifts.

Hope the fool goes down big time. Mrs BBG happy to see the end of it?

I hope that is a King Edward and not just any old potato.

So what did the tw@t look like and where is Mrs BBG scarred?
Thanks for all your kind words. The assailant was female, and the injury is above the right ankle and has been a nightmare to heal - it still isn't right now, but hopefully some physio in the new year will help.

I also like that. A lot. What is it? Also, had you just scaled a vertical wall before taking the picture? There's a mighty small number of gear inches in the selected ratio.

Its a “Waltly”frame. They’re a Taiwanese maker, do some rather nice work. When I bought it, my LBS told me i was nuts, it would be all out of alignment, and crack and kill me to death...

The BB and head tube were perfectly square and faced. The welds are beautiful, it rides very nicely indeed. I have not ridden it that hard, but on local trails its awesome.

The gearing is for my driveway. If I spin like a loon I can just make it up. Its about a 25% gradient in the middle... lol

Maybe yes, I was just wondering why Pinno wrote thatbhe rodes Italian frames with Italian gruppo then posts a pic of a French bike.

It is very nice though, as is yours! My LBS owner back in the 80’s had one.

Ta - I might need a mountain bike now - I had no idea they could look so good. That's one steep driveway!

If you like carbon-y things, then have a look at the Open's... the founder of Cervelo now does these instead. I have this one set up as my "roadie"...
    29459416410_5a722a56a0_h.jpg

Even on these stupidly big fat slicks and some strong wheels it still only weighs a fraction over 9kg. I can knock almost a kilo off that by changing to the skinny and light Kojak slicks and some race-weight rims. Once we move, I may even try some drop bars on this to see what it rides like, but this is not a "gravel" bike per se - it was their first MTB model. Bare frame weight (no bearings etc) is 870 grams.

They aren't cheap, but Lordy they are good 8)

The driveway is a *major* reason we sold up here. lol.

Thank you! Plan for this Chrimbles is to take off the Octalink bb and Ultegra crank and replace with the Shimano 600 crank that matches the rest of the groupset with a new square taper bb then replace on to the hooks on the wall. It’s lovely to look at but needs just the right day to ride.

He did confuse me as well with that but as it’s Pinno who knows..... best sometimes just to smile, nod head, walk away slowly........

I do like shiny things. I turned a 'Dale CAAAAAAAAAAAD into a single speed, polished all the paint off and eventually got rid of the chain tensioner when I found the magic gear combo. So light, so quick.

After this pic, I replaced the wheels with some carbon tubs on ceramic bearing hubs. Most fun road bike I've ever had to ride.

With the new wheels, some Speedplay titanium spindle pedals and a few lighter bits it was 6.2 kg. Not comfortable to ride all day, frame was too stiff for that, but by crikey it was efficient. No wonder they're a popular crit bike frame.

I hate to piddle on your chips guys but Vitus provided the tubing which other manufacturers used and assembled in their own way, including this Wilier - which is extortionate:
