Ciao

Too dark and spooky out there again. Going to drink some coffee and then go to work and drink some more.

I think today will be a day of reading and contemplating what I have read.

Decorated the tree last night, which is always a chore. We can't just bung a few baubles on, it has to be "just so". it took 2 hours.
Seems warmer outside, but also damp. Roll on a few days off at Christmas.

Same here, much agonising was had over which side of the tree looks best and which decoration goes where. The tree already looks like it could do with some viagra

Morning, WFH this morning as our drive and track to the house is 1cm thick sheet ice, our neighbour got his defender stuck sideways so we gave up and put the kettle on. I really hope it thaws before the snow this afternoon. The OH is worried we will run out of tea bags if we are both working from home, poor planning

Morning working from home today. Would say I was suffering from the work party, however I only had one glass.

Running out of tea bags? go buy the 600 bags of yorkshire tea next time lad.

Coffee, walk the hounds, maybe tidy the house to earn brownie points kind of day. Or just hide from the world who believe I should marry the Date.

The OH is a disgrace of a Yorkshire woman! Luckily I'm a soft southern ponce so I drink more coffee than tea so I'm fine. Might wander down to the tiny shop on the campsite down the road and see if they have any decent supplies

Didn't realise my truck was three years old on Monday so I just tried to book it in for an MOT, their yard is in a similar state to my drive/track

The world should f@ck off and mind it's own business, that's for you to decide then the date to agree or not as she sees fit. Or vice versa on a leap year.

    Morning folks,
Bit warmer out there today at least and the park was open, bloody dark in there and some huuuge puddles. Now at work trying to avoid doing too much which is about par for the course. Hopefully not too many customers will call. Gah! Tempted fate there the poxy phone rang as I was typing that.
I've only had two cups of tea so far, it's just not good enough. I wonder if anybody's going to buy cakes today, even a mince pie would do.
It's Wednesday so the pub is calling for later.

Agreed. My brother got engaged last week and everyone who I mentioned it to has said 'oooh the pressure is on you now!' I get enough pressure from the OH, I don't need it from everyone else...

Tell them jog on and smash the bar maid from the local that you've always secretly fancied: when they ask you why you did it just say that there was too much pressure on you and you cracked up and that it's all their fault.

The OH's sister's BF cheated on her recently so their family love me, I feel like I should take advantage of this undeserved wave but maybe cheating isn't the best option

Ball crap. The world knows best. Stick a ring on her finger pronto before she fecks off with someone who doesn't have a penchant for pink Lycra. Even if she says she isn't fussed about marriage, she's a girl, she is!

I agree with the last bit, she is bothered. Unfortunately rings detract from my new bike budget, and I wouldn't want to steal my brother's thunder and all that. I like bikes.

No pics of sister, she's a dancer on a cruiseship so we'd all get significantly less work done today if I posted pics.

The pink Lycra was aimed at Flaneur.

    POIDH.

Sorry but that's rubbish - it's a bit like me saying "oh, Pinno is a spy and so I can't post a picture of him" with no factual backing or evidence,

Sorry dude, I call BS until proven otherwise in photographic evidence .,..

Just tell us which cruise ship she works on then :)

Work seems strangely quiet at the moment so catching up on some admin and expenses claims. How exciting. Saw the quack last night and I'm booked in for an MRI scan on my dodgy shoulder end of next week. He reckons I'm borderline on whether I need an op but they need to see what the damage properly before deciding what to do.

MF - a trick from the used section of the playbook?

Hay - if I ran out of coffee I'd struggle, however I plan for that by having masses of coffee stashed away.

Cake - that sounds good, may go buy some.

Star Wars later after Hickorys (american bar/food). Wonder how many late nights I can manage

I was airborne when it went pear shaped but tbh it didn't feel that bad until a couple of minutes later and controlling the bike suddenly became a bit tricky. I think I was just unlucky the way I landed.

It is getting a bit annoying the time it's taking to mend.
