    Old Ruts V68. Merton Park.

Zero gratitude MF. He tried to moan to his mother about it, but I gave him an extra hour over what I originally said, so she gave him short shrift. He is 12. 10 is plenty late for a 12 year old.

I ate a grotty cheeseburger, and a delicious spicy pork wrap with lashings of sriracha.

Agree completely. Bambina is 11 1/2 and get 9 as a late night.

I didn't know this was bodily fluids night, reckon I've a pint or two about me....
On more mundane matters, had friends around for tea and my pasta bake was a triumph. Now listening to some Krautrock and relaxing and not thinking about the washing up.

What you didn't know is that the stupid beardy bloke was doing the other three students.

I was overnight in one of the overpriced and pretentious hotels by Heathrow prior to an early morning flight. A really gorgeous short skirt came and sat next to me - this was in the bar - and did the mobile phone thing. I instantly got what was going on and was trying to work out how much she would cost. Her pal came in - equally gorgeous and ordered a drink too. Two really stunning Asian whores working a London hotel.

I was listening to them talking - about what electives they were doing in their post grad medical training.

I felt such a tw@ but equally relieved that I'd not opened my mouth. Jeez.

Well (true story), I attended a 50th birthday bash in London of a woman who worked in the National Theatre. I had stayed with her in Kentish Town in between courses of Chemo when I was at the Hammersmith on the occasions I didn't stay in Hampton Hill. This event was some years later.
I don't think I have ever felt like such a fish out of water. The woman who's birthday it was was gay. So the place was full of Lesbians and I elected to slip out quietly on account of feeling so uncomfortable. I cannot remember what part of London it was - somewhere posh and in the West End. So, at a loose end, I went to this bar not far away and paid a fortune for a drink.
Now, sometimes as a bloke you go through these patches where you walk on water. The underlying foundation to that particular period of my life was when I was going out with a Swedish girl. I felt on top of the world and I must have oozed an air of nonchalance and exclusiveness because during that 5 year period, I don't know how many women I turned down. In hindsight and considering how the relationship went t1ts up, perhaps I should have not been so loyal.
So there I was sat at this bar and this stunning, beautifully turned out, well spoken brunette sits on the next bar stool. I say 'Hi' and within no time, we're talking away lucidly and the talk goes on until she starts getting slightly distracted. I ask what's wrong and she says she's 'missed a client' and slips out to talk on her phone outside the bar.
She comes back and shrugs her shoulders. So I am now quizzical and I look at her straight and I ask her - 'Client'? and she doesn't dodge the question. It transpires that she was a high class escort and she did it to fund her medical degree.
Her charges were astronomical. Most of the time, her work did not involve intercourse. She would just be a pretty accessory to some rich client of Middle Eastern persuasion. Sometime her tips exceeded the fee.
She was debt free. Lived in a nice flat and what was so intriguing, was that she was at total ease with her self and what she did.

Had a great evening wandering around expensive bars, (most of the drinks bought for me) and at the end of it, she said that it was great to be with a straight guy who wasn't trying to get into her knickers. I got a peck on the cheek and off she went into the night at god knows what time.
Dunno exactly where I ended up but all I remember paying for a very expensive taxi back to Clapham Northside.

    Morning folks,
Managed my traditional slow start which was good, now having muffins (English) with another cup of tea. Few odd jobs to do but not too much. Thanks for all the kind thoughts, it was better news than we expected in some ways, we knew it wouldn't be good unfortunately.
Hopper beware the Oxfam shop in Wimbledon Village, my mother helps out in there. Although she probably won't be there today.
Bally, spoke to the lad and he reckons Queenstown is rammed and very expensive at Christmas because a lot of Kiwis go there. Asked him to see if he could find out about any good alternatives.

Cheers for that VN. She has managed to book into 3 different hostels to cover the Xmas period but I think the last one which takes her into the new year may have been a last resort and she may be travelling out towards Milford Sound. That should save her some cash over the new year piss-up season if nothing else.

Another inactive day years before me but I have the house to myself. Woohoo!

VN An update from Miss BM. She has now accommodation over Xmas/ New Year plus a backup for new year at Milford Sound, which she will cancel once she gets to Queenstown and confirms that all her ducks are in fact, in a row. Ta muchly

Has mini VN or Miss BM got a picture and description of my brother? For their own state of mental health, I think they should.
