Looks like Eurosport have got the World Cup this season; I'm not sure whether that's good or bad, as the YouTube coverage was free.
Hard to look past the two 'Aliens'; none of the others seem capable of challenging them. Make the most of it as it might be the last full season we see them.

Indeed. Eurosport coverage was carp too, I was disappointed when I saw the program was only an hour long, I didn't even consider that it would include the women's race in there too!

Nah, he was flying this time last year too, he'll start dropping back when the rest warm up.

VdP though, jeez, it will be interesting to see if he can keep this form or if he'll burn out from doing far too well in the XC world cup during the summer

Well at least Jensie was interesting. Can't see VdP keeping this up though surely?

Can he do a 'Nino'? And win all World Cup rounds? I'd say no - Wout will surely come back to challenge.

Writing Wout off at this stage of the season must surely be the Cav's finished of Qatar

  • Is it just me or do the World Cups in America just seem a bit pointless? I just can't get excited about them.

Also, Eurosports 'highlights' have been absolutely shocking. I long for the days of catching up on the UCIchannel and actually getting to watch the whole race.
  • prawnyprawny Posts: 5,415
I think the Eurosport exclusive was only for the US rounds, so fingers crossed normal service will be resumed from the next round. There's a couple of people who've put the full US rounds on Youtube anyway so I watched the Waterloo round on that before Eurosport had got round to putting the 'highlights' on.

Still gutted Bike Channel isn't around to show the Superprestige with English commentary this winter, although I have learnt a new Flemish word the year already. I'll be fluent in no time :?

been a bit of a one horse show so far . good result from Tom Pidcock yesterday . 9th in his first senior race.
  • First wins as U23 for Pidcock. Superprestige at Boom, followed the day after by World Cup at Koksijde.

I haven't been impressed with Eurosport's coverage of the World Cup; stuck on the Player, without any commentary. What is the point of having rights if they aren't going to show it properly live on either E1/E2. Definitely a downgrade from the YouTube coverage.
And yet they'll show live Track cycling.......give me strength
