off to gmc, who knows or dares to dream what wonders the day will bring after all these weeks, plenty of espresso will be needed while i machete my way through the emails, must try to leave early, don't want to overdo it for at least the first few weeks back

on a more productive note, i was thinking, we could have a whip round and get pinno a new bit, but then i thought, he's had so many he'd be like trigger's broom, would he still be pinno?

it's a deep philosophical question, probably only resolvable with d-lysergic acid diethylamide 25 and a fez

i must go now, that cactus is freaking me out

soggio

couldn't be arsed to go to the gym this morning .... and my ride to work felt like the brakes were on all the way in.

got a feeling to day is going to be one of lethargy and aching

Why is it the humane thing to do if he were a horse would be a bullet to the head, yet with a Piña we prolong his suffering? Luckily his thingamybob levels weren't too high so he's not quite ready for the meat factory yet. Probably not enough meat on him to fetch a good price anyway.

    Morning folks,
A rather moist Monday down here, wimped out and drove in so I could give the boy a lift. Park gates are now shut for the cull until gone 8am so that also removes the best bit of my ride in as well. Most of my customers are now back from their holidays so will probably be bothering me.

More soggio here too, mudguards and hideous fluoro gabba gilet were required, and I expect I'll have to dig out the lights soon. I'll chuck in towards Pinno's new bit. Glad to see in another thread that it's not as bad as it could have been.
  • Not soggio here but greyio, will be fitting slicks to cx bike today for communting duties.

Apart from that, couple of chores to run and that's that.

The joys of court again today, wonder what lovely new trial awaits?

I have some scrap metal if they're a bit short in the NHS and need something to rebuild Pinno. No wonder he holidays in the UK, imagine all the fun with airport security scanners.

    Yeah Monday

No rain but it makes no difference as I start to back off and rest before the event- shame I didn't get the final long run in but no training ever goes to plan

Meeting an MP today for lobbying, hooray. Might have to go for a really long run in the rain this evening just to brighten up my day.

Returned to work, not sure why. Maybe cos the Date started her new place today. The Date has, in theory, sold her place in the grim north.

Glad you are all still here, means the world is spinning.

Still sorting out the insurance on the bike. Sunshine holiday was good.

When will Stevo end up on the correct side of the court room?

  • Morning all.

Teaching, work, sandwiches, work, commute (arm warmers and lights this morning, what's that about?) via the TTs, dinner them, dinner me/wife, emergency fettling assuming Amazon do the biz, sleep. An exciting day in my book, hope y'all are equally occupied and Pinno stays away from the orthopod clutches just a little longer.

Depends on the MP. Beating them senseless would be my preferred option for a lot of them.

Had my fun at airports - had to drop my pants in Newcastle and Stanstead.

I would rather the ortho boys came to get me now and get it over with. The enforced time off the bike is killing me slowly.

I appreciate the whip around except could you guys set up a crowd funding page so that I can go to France for the op? They are very good at it over there (as long as they use German bits).

Muchas soggio here FWIW, Morning Flan, how the heck are you?!

This guy came out as gay in 2016, his son is the MSP for the area too. No shortage of jokes of that ilk!

Bit of a waste of time in the end, I had to shoot early off to the dentist anyway

This isn't a reference to lolly pop sticks and elastic bands is it?
  • I want my bed.

Saturday night was spent raving in a barn in the hills, not done that in a while and finally turned in about 6am...

So what to do on Sunday? Lets go to the pub and drink lots... Not the best idea I've ever had but there you go.

Good effort HD, you can rest when you're dead.
I wonder how MRS is getting on with the house move? Enough on his plate not to waste time on here it would seem.
  • Today I have found out that on Thursday I shall be flying to a different country for a 30 minute medical.

I shall be doing the same again in a couple of weeks.

My mind boggles at the inefficiency f it all.

I'm beginning to appreciate inefficiency having been hanging around court for a week...

  • It's almost as if they have organized a committee (inefficieny defined) to come up with the most inefficient ways of doing things.

how did today go by the way?

Inefficiently - told we were on a trial then it got delayed and delayed more, then told it wasn't happening but we have to stick around in case they need us for another one today; then later got told nothing was happening today and can we come back to tomorrow for another one - possibly. It was gone 3.30 by time we were told that we could clear off

If I wasted people's time like that I'd get a right kick up the arris. In the meantime I've got real work to do, tax doesn't just save itself you know.

  • Brilliantly inefficient. Loving it.

You want to string it out and see how far they can take the inefficiency thing - trust me, after a while you stop questioning it and just go with the flow.

By which time I'll be back to the real world. On the upside a couple of the ladies on this weeks jury are worth talking to so passing the time isn't too bad :)

Call the inefficiencies something zappy, preferably with a numerical suffix, seeing as how we are all about tech now, and the numbers mean tech. Maybe something like Systax 3.1. Do a presentation. Put some bullsh!t in it. Get someone sufficiently senior to buy in to it. Roll it out. Make sure you're Teflon when it all goes to sh!t and gets kicked into the long grass. Sack a minion. Rinse and repeat. Soon you will rule the world.
