Garmin spare part - HR band but not transmitter...

Not sure if anyone can help with this - I am struggling to find the Garmin spare part I want though...
I have a 310XT HRM. The heart rate belt has stopped working (tested with another belt - which was OK) so I need to replace it. But the actual HR transmitter - i.e. the hard black plastic thing which has the battery in it - is fine. I can only find belt/transmitters for sale together though. Can the belts alone be bought?

Yep, buy a polar heart rate strap from wiggle etc. You may need to trim the rubber edge around the poppers but other than that they work great, cost less than the Garmin Part and are more reliable. Though just checked and wiggle say they are out of stock for 2-4 weeks0
