Anyone trained for the 233km Dragon Ride?

I'm looking to do something that'll push me. I ride every week but just for fun, swapping between road and the MTB depending on [a] weather which riding clothes have been washed & [c] who's up for a post ride pint. I'm more than happy riding 50 miles, I guess thats my current level of fitness although I was happy at 100kms a few back / before kids.

So.... moving up to a 143 mile seems daunting but I'm keen to do something epic. Anyone trained for this ride? If so, how long did it take and what did it take in terms of commitment??

Thanks!

It's in the head, more than it is in the legs, if you are comfortable doing 100 km with a few hills, you can probably do 230 with the right mindset. There are of course a lot of 100 mile rides you can do beforehand to push the envelope a bit

This is my account of a 400 km Audax, my longest ride to that point was 250 km
